  • Conference aims to raise judge's awareness of water issues

    The Conference of Judges and Prosecutors has opened its activities in the 8th World Water Forum on Monday (19/03), in the auditorium Planalto do Centro at the Ulysses Guimarães Convention Center. The event was attended by the president of the Bazilian Supreme Court (STF), Carmen Lucia, and the Attorney General of the Republic, Raquel Dodge.

  • Book discloses good policies in World Water Security

    From a partnership between the World Council of Water and China's Ministry of Water Resources resulted the book World Water Security - Lessons Learned and Long-Term Implications, released this afternoon, march 19, at the Water Security and ODS session of the 8th World Water Forum. The book tells the real-world experience in water policies, management, development and decisions of governance, and examples on how they affected the energy and agriculture sectors, as well as they impacted the environment, and vice-versa.

OECD Secretary-General receives King Hassan II Great World Water Prize

The Prime Minister of Morocco, Saad Dine el Otomani, awarded the King Hassan II Great World Water Prize to the Secretary-General of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), Angel Gurría this Monday.
